This was basically a really top hitter when it come to cold traffic, delivering a massive 3.45% it was quite the wonder where it could be beaten. Going back to the age old proven conversion standards we looked to get a improvement.

We set out to see what this basically perfect design was missing and looked at it and saw that it was a little bit flimsy in area’s. We set about really trimming the fat and putting this winner on a crash course diet.
Utilizing the massive space used by the headline and pushing it over, directly above the video give us a lot more space to push the rest of the design up. Now what this did do was to make the text slightly smaller and not as in your face. Which pushed us onto the next point of highlighting the key CTA in red “FREE DVD Shows You” to make the headline pop and draw the eye.
By really tightening everything up we were able to move the the checkout section and button right up to the top of the page. This allowed for the visitors to have a easier access checkout process. Another advantage on a larger screen was that we could also see the copy below for people who arent video watchers to instantly see they can find out what’s going on just below.
When it comes to converting a winner to a champion the little changes just don’t seem to be enough anymore. It really comes down to flipping it all on its head and seeing what you can do. Always look to improve on the recipe of something brilliant but go big or go home. We didn’t move completely away but we made massive enough changes to see massive gains. 64% increase in conversions and 24 more customers per 1000 impressions could really mean the difference between profitable and loss. Don’t be afraid to go big!
